BTS: Anna Hasapopoulos [Pt. 1]

Anna Hasapopoulos is a Primary School Teacher and Model. My sister is just casually a model, you know.

She’s modeled for Myer, Get Frocked, Boohoo and other online stores and local campaigns.

Sometimes when I walk with her, I have to just stare people down, as they stare her down. Men especially. Like, do you want to blink, sir? She is tall, statuesque and has a beautiful face. She is considered Plus Sized in the modelling world.  A ‘Curve’ model as they politely put it now. Usually, AU sizes 12/14 and upwards are considered ‘plus sized’…

10 “Rock Bottom” Moments

We’ve all done something that’s at ‘rock bottom’ status. You know the things that you do and you think “if someone saw me doing this, I would kill myself.”
Those times when you’re completely slacking off on life, failing as an adult or just being plain embarrassing?
Don’t know what I’m talking about? Well, lucky you!

5 Things You Don’t Realise About Planning A Wedding

Oh my goodness, we’re getting married!! If you’re not, all good. Congratulations on having money in your bank account.

I’d be lying to you if I said that I was the kind of girl that had always envisioned her wedding.  I know girls that booked out their venues before they even got engaged, they sent photos to their men of the exact rings they wanted… I even knew one that said “it’s this ring or don’t bother asking.” I can’t relate, but now that I’m planning my wedding, I realise that…dare I say…I’m enjoying bringing to life this majestic vision that is now brewing in my mind. Our minds. Continue reading

10 Things That Changed After 25

They say that for women, the brain is fully developed at 25 and you start to make better life decisions and act more like an adult. Yeah right...
Men, however…Do you guys even fully develop a brain orrrrr?… Yeah, I’m sure you’ve got a fairly developed brain by 25
Anyway, the rumours are true- things do start to change after the first quarter…For example:

I’m Baaaack!

Hey guys, it’s been months since I’ve uploaded a post! I’ve been thinking about writing, what to write, how to help you feel better if you’re having a crappy day and what rant I should go on next haha. But the days escape me. Time is passing so quickly!!

I thought that instead of writing a proper article, I’d just touch base more casually and let you know what’s been happening.

Mindfulness Pt. 1

Dear friends,

Let’s be honest. We’re going crazy. It’s 2016 and our brains are on the brink of exploding. We are over stimulated, living fast paced lives, over scheduling ourselves, over thinking what we see on social media, conspiring theories about the world, trying to achieve more at a faster rate and bla bla bla…I mean, just writing that makes my head want to explode.

How Can You Be Positive When Life Seems Too Hard?

Well well well…It’s been a few months and what a few months it’s been! Since July, these months have been some of the worst of my life. It all started when my mum was diagnosed with cancer. If you’ve been through something like this, then I need not explain what it’s been like. It’s been excruciating and I’ve been struggling privately. But, through everything, I’ve been learning a lot and I’d like to share with you.

Why I’ve Stopped Defending The Kardashians

As a teenager and a girl in my early twenties, I was mesmerized by the beauty of Kim Kardashian. I remember seeing her in a magazine for the first time and thinking wow, she looks really ethnic! She had thick eyebrows, dark hair and most surprisingly of all, she was very curvy. She had an unapologetically hourglass figure, which had become somewhat taboo in Hollywood. It was all about being blonde and very thin in the 90’s and early 00’s. Before Kim, when I was in high school, it was the Paris Hiltons of Hollywood that lots of girls were trying to look like. You can imagine me, the Greek teenager with black eyebrows, big boobs, an offensively plump bottom and thick thighs totally fitting in, right? Haha.
