Live Blog #5- The Day of the ‘Pop off’

8.30am- Good morning and welcome to FRIDAYYYY! Yes, this work week is coming to an end. It’s been a good morning so far, I treated myself to some Muzz Buzz. It takes me about half an hour to drive to work so I love sipping on a vanilla latte when I get the odd chance. I used to be addicted to getting Muzz Buzz on the way to work and so now I have to only treat myself before I wreck myself, ya know what I’m saying? I’ve got some work to do this morning, so let’s get this party started! *opens emails.*

1.45pm-
Student-“Miss, can I go outside to fart?”

Me- I take a minute to figure out if he’s being serious or trying to ruin my life and get the class laughing and shouting. He’s looking me dead in the eye and is not smiling. “Sure, do what you need to do.” I’m trying hard not to smile, so I don’t set off the other children. They’re all watching me like hawks, waiting for me to start laughing, so they can laugh.

Another student- “Our teacher last year told us we weren’t allowed to say ‘fart.’ We had to say ‘pop off.'”

I lose it laughing.

They lose it laughing.

They won’t stop saying the words ‘pop off.’

6pm- So, ‘pop offs’ aside, I played some ping pong and badminton after school with some other teachers. It was pretty fun! I’ll tell you what wasn’t fun. I was in a turtle neck (believe it or not), stockings, a skirt and boots. In other words, I’m surprised I didn’t die from heat exhaustion, get hit in the face by one of my boobs or sprain my ankle. It was fun though, it got the blood going through the old veins. I was surprised at how much fun it was, actually! I’m going to start doing workouts before school with one of the sports teachers, so I’m excited about that! I am kind of dreading it, if we’re being completely honest. It’s very bloody cold at 7am.

8.30pm- So, Luke came over. Yes, we have been seeing a lot of each other this week. We mucked around, debriefing about work and having a laugh. We were playing around on Snapchat but i couldn’t upload the videos because they look massive and I don’t know how to resize them…I may have to make a collage of our funny Snapchats and upload that separately, because they’re just too funny!

Anyway, back to being lazy. I’m having a quiet one tonight. In bed, make up off, in my pj’s. I hope you all stay safe and warm tonight. Now, for tonight’s lesson. Make the time for some exercise. Go for a walk with your work mates, friends or alone! Play a sport or just do some stretches. Get the blood pumping a little bit. You don’t have to do anything strenuous. It feels good and your mind and body will thank you.

Sweet dreams!

Lots of love,

Magda xx
