Live Blog #4- The Day of Snitching

8.15am- Good morning! It’s day number four of the series of blogs that should be called “Magda Doesn’t Think Anyone Cares About Her Day, But She’s Writing This Anyway!” Welcome, friends. So yes, here we are again, another beautiful day of being alive and grateful and on the verge of frostbite. Perth is so chilly and it’s only the second day of Winter! No complaints, I’m feeling the scarves, boots and coats!

Today is Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday, which means the next day is Saturday and you know what that means: Long weekend!!! I’m going to a Harry Potter party at Mint Nightclub on Sunday night and I’m going as…Something gold…Can you guess what it is? I know what you’re thinking… “Oh Magda, what an exciting, glamorous, mature life you lead.” I know. I ordered a gold dress online and I don’t think it’s going to make it here in time. Plus, it’s hideous. So, I may have to draw a lightning bolt on my forehead with a Sharpie and call it a day. I love how my sister and our friend Luke are planning to look sexy and meanwhile, I’m going as…Something that is opposite of sexy.

4.30- So, I got home and found a lovely letter in the mail. Letters are underrated these days. It’s so nice when someone hand writes you a letter and sends it to you in the mail. Especially when it’s someone you love and miss very much! #PrayForOctober.

My friend is picking my sister and I up and we’re going to hit Midland Gate again for some costume goodies. I can’t remember the last time we all went to a party, let alone a dress up party! How am I going to cope with not being in bed by 9pm on Sunday? Also, I must start practicing patience from now because God knows I have zero tolerance in clubbing situations.

8.30- So, seeing as my gold dress still has not arrived in the mail (and I’m scared that my
butt will look like Mt. Everest in it, even if it does come), I’ve bought:

  • 2.5 metres worth of gold fabric
  • gold glitter body paint,
  • gold hair spray,
  • a golden head piece and;
  • wings

I’m sure you’ve guessed now that I am going to be the GOLDEN SNITCH! Yes, I will be walking around Northbridge wearing a golden poncho, illuminating the streets with my $4.99 gold body glitter and fairy wings. Please, restrain your jealousy for my glamorous life.

Luke, Roxanne, Anna and I perused Spotlight and Red Dot, had some Nandos and embarrassed ourselves in front of fellow shoppers. We’re not exactly a quiet, reserved bunch who go unnoticed. We also visited the other squad member, Elena, who is held prisoner by Target most nights of the week! How cute is she?

I’m exhausted and I just want to lay in front of my fake fireplace heater.

9pm- My friends, please understand that tonight, before I create this blog, I must make an important phone call, with an important person and then hopefully I can create and upload this blog!

10.30pm– Ok, I’m really tired, so I’m going to schedule the upload for tomorrow morning- so it can upload by itself, whilst I’m at work. By the time I upload it tonight, everyone will be sleeping anyway!
I’m super glad it’s Friday tomorrow and I hope you’ve all had a great week. For those of us who struggled to reach the end, we made it! Also, I’m not feeling like so much of a cry-baby any more. Celebrate good times, come on!

Good night my friends. Did I have any philosophical epiphanies today? Not really…So what should we make today’s lesson, hmm? Let me think. I know! Make the time to do something outrageous or immature, like go to a dress up party! You’ll be laughing before and after the event! Break up the monotony and see how your mood improves!

Lots of love,

Magda xx
