Don’t get me wrong, I’m as useless as anyone! On a good day however, I like to do the following things to get me on a good track. Then I fall off the track. Then I get back on track. Then I fa….Ok you get where I’m going… Do you agree with the following ten things?
-Make your bed! Psychologists say that once your bed is made, the brain feels like it has accomplished something and you start your day feeling much more organised, positive and powerful. Do I ever do it? Nope I do not. Let’s give it a go!
-Eat breakfast! Breakfast is the BEST meal of the day! It gives you energy for the day, your breath won’t be smelly because your stomach is empty and you won’t be as grumpy!
-Put that little bit of extra effort into your appearance. Maybe you’ll spend a bit more time on your hair or add a bit more make up. It works wonders for your self-esteem and attitude towards the day!
-Smile at a stranger. Seriously, try it. If they don’t smile back-awkward. If they do, it’s such a nice feeling for you and for them!
-Do you mostly text your significant other sweet messages like ‘have a nice day babe!’ or ‘love you”? If you do, why don’t you mix it up and send some of those thoughts and love to your friends or other family members! Nurturing relationships in such a small way also helps put your mind at ease!
-Do you have a load of washing to put on? Dinner to cook? Why don’t you just have a random day where you let it be and go get a coffee, or a glass of wine? After work, go sit on the beach and just relax! If you have children, take them with you! There’s something so liberating about saying ‘fuck it!’ and just leaving everything behind as you actually take advantage of being alive!
-Plan a holiday. Any holiday! Just give yourself something to look forward to. The monotony of everyday life can drain anyone’s soul, but if you’ve got an adventure to look forward to, you’re less likely to set your work place on fire.
-Set a time frame within your day where you ban yourself from your phone or social media. Live. In. The. Moment. Don’t worry about what everyone else is doing, eating, saying or wearing.

-Hug someone. I’m sure you’ve all read those memes about how a hug makes people feel soooo much better. I mean one of those long hugs where you really squeeze each other!
-Meditate or pray. Five to ten minutes is all it takes for you to reflect, be thankful, ask for what you need or just focus on your breathing and completely check out. A 30 minute walk with headphones in works wonders as well! You’ll feel centred, grounded and more at ease.
I don’t mean to be a bitch but… these things are super easy to do! It’s the little things that make the biggest difference! What helps you during the day? Leave a comment below telling us what it is! I wish you all positivity and strength in your days.

Lot’s of love,
Magda x
